Course Objectives

Financial statement analysis

  • Develop a good understanding of financial documents (Income Statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow Statements), including their consolidated versions
  • Learn to calculate and interpret ratios, especially return ratios
  • Understand the different kinds of cash flows and the way that they are generated
  • In conclusion, the objective of this course is to allow you to perform good financial analysis of any given business, whether you have 5 minutes or 3 hours to carry out the analysis:

    – If you have 5 minutes at the corner of a table, what should you look at?
    – If you have 2-3 hours to assess the potential of a company, what should your final report look like?
